Bergen General Cemetery can be found at the Kerkedijk in Bergen (North Holland). There are 260 graves of which 35 unknown. Most of the graves are from allied crewmembers. The cemetery is north- west of the N9 (Alkmaar - Den Helder). From Alkmaar (N9) to Bergen cemetery is about 2.9 miles, when entering Bergen the cemetery is signposted.
The propeller blade is from Lancaster GT-J (ED715) 156 Squadron, the Lancaster crashed on 5 May 1943 at Chatteris, Cambridgeshire (UK), all crew members survived the crash. The propeller blade is presented to the Bergen War Grave Committee jointly by the Fenland Aircraft Preservation Society and the 617 Squadron RAF veterans for the care given to the graves of their former comrades. The unveiling took place on the 3 May 1980.
